College Principal, Mark De Vries witnessed six students performing their own music and has encouraged them to use the Music room to compose an original song for the College’s end of term soiree.
Anthony, Kurt, Will, Eli, Aiden, and Caleb recently showcased their talents in front of Mr De Vries during recess. Mr De Vries decided to let these boys talents shine even further by allowing them to use the school facilities during their lunch break, and work together to create an original song by the end of term.
“We’re trying to get them together to form an original composition where they will play and showcase to the school community” said Mark De Vries after witnessing their creative talents.
Mr De Vries has placed a lot of trust in these boys to be responsible young men and hope that this opportunity would be a stepping stone for them to achieve bigger things outside of school.
Four of the students involved are part of the College Rock Group and they are excited about the opportunity that they were given by their principal.
“He’s provided us with instruments and good equipment and now we can finally do what we love to do and that’s make music” says Eli. “We already have an awesome music elective, but this is more about something that we can come together and enjoy ourselves”
